Jozani Forest: Home of the Red Colobus Monkeys Jozani Forest is a natural reserve located in the central-eastern part of Zanzibar Island. It is the largest remaining indigenous forest on the island and one of the few places in the world where you can see the rare and endangered Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkey. These primates are famous for their distinctive red fur and playful behavior. Arrive at Zanzibar Airport and transfer to your hotel in Stone Town. After breakfast, transfer to Nungwi Beach, located on the northern coast of Zanzibar. Optional activities include snorkeling, scuba diving, or taking a traditional dhow boat ride.
