After breakfast, go to the Jozani Forest, which is Zanzibar's largest mature forest. Explore the forest's varied flora and fauna, including the endangered Red Colobus monkey, on a guided trip. Lunch at a nearby restaurant is fantastic. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon to unwind on the beach or go swimming in the water. And head back to your hotel and then take in a meal of regional specialties in the evening.
A popular day trip choice in Zanzibar that offers the opportunity to explore the magnificent marine life and experience the local culture is the Zanzibar Safari Blue Tour. Your Zanzibar hotel will be picked up at 8:00 AM and transferred to Fumba village. You will start sailing, diving, and exploring when you arrive in Fumba village at 9:00 AM and board the traditional dhow boat. At 9:30 AM, set sail for the Menai Bay Conservation Area and start your snorkeling adventure. Snorkeling gear will be provided.
At 11:00 AM, take a break from snorkeling and go swimming in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean. At 12:00 PM, sail to Kwale Island, where you'll enjoy a seafood barbeque lunch on a beautiful sandy beach. Vegetarian options are also available. At 1:30 PM, after lunch, you can take a stroll on the island, take a nap, or relax on the beach. Return to the dhow at 3:00 PM and sail to a natural lagoon. Here, you can swim in the shallow waters and observe starfish. At 4:00 PM, return by boat to Fumba village. At around 5:00 PM, take a taxi back to your hotel.
